Generation French, Chapter Nine

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in French, Partout Dans Le Monde

Wait a second, how'd we get here?
Let's back up.

Last time, the twins grew up and their hobbies were taking over the house.

Wolfe was painting quite a bit, too, until... he stopped, just after mastering the skill.

"My butt tingles."
Oh no! It's for real this time!

Goodbye, Victor Wolfe. You were a great legacy spouse, even though you never actually married in.

After that depressing news, um, no one noticed, and it was time for Frac to grow up.

He's quite handsome! I don't think he will be the heir, but I might have him stick around until the twins grow up, in case I change my mind.

Edel, meanwhile, met up with a few of his old mistresses. First he called over Lavender...

...then Esmeralda.

After a night of debauchery, Edel returned to his post, building the painting skill when he doesn't have anything better to do.

I was so excited when little miss Faux made the time machine! She maxed her inventing skill level, then took a dive inside.

She came back from the past with a new outfit, which I decided to set for her formal wear. Then she went and (finally) registered as a self-employed inventor. Thanks for the suggestion, Mariah!

Oh, and when I changed her formal wear, I also gave her a new hairdo.

Edel took advantage of his day off to woo me once again, but I'm starting to think he needs to slow down on this baby making thing.

Dårlig has not been slowing down on the writing thing. I had her write one book of each genre she hadn't tried yet, and now she's writing masterpieces instead of the shorter non-fiction novels.

Art is huge in the house, now that I have three sims building it. Fais studies new fashion designs.

Mel studies architecture between work-outs.

And Edel is painting, like you saw earlier.

Frac has changed my mind about letting him hang around the legacy house. He has a girlfriend I moved over from Twinbrook, and I want to see them get married and move on.

So I let him propose engagement to her, then had him move out and into her small house. I hope the timestream will marry them and even give them kids!

Frac isn't the only one who is looking for love. Fais has found herself an ex-Twinbrookian too. His name is Marc something-or-other.

Next time, we'll see Fais and Faux grow up, and I'll decide on an heiress (for sure this time) and start generation G!

P.S. Edel's son Ezekiel Hart-Costello died in a fire, and tow more sons were born: Derick Twig (son of Esmerelda), and Tobin Golden (son of Lavender). That makes 23 kids (20 living)!

Generation French, Chapter Eight

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in French, Partout Dans Le Monde.
In this legacy, each generation will be named a word starting with their letter from a language starting with that letter; so a sim from generation F could be named Former, the French word for Train.

Last time on the Around the World Legacy, I experimented with Ambitions and one of Edel's many kids drowned.
I later found out that Leticia Murphy, daughter of Edel and Molly, died in a fire. Poor thing! Dommer also had a kid that died as a toddler. Weird! Does this happen often?

Edel invited Lavender over again, since she is gorgeous and I wanted him to have multiple children with her anyway.

After Lavender left, Dårlig started doing the floating dance! Oh no!

As sad as it was to see her go, the kids are getting older and the household will need some space for...
oh wait. She had a death flower. Never mind. Guess she's going to live FOREVER then.

Crisis averted.

If there's not going to be a legacy death this chapter (though Wolfe is really quite old now) there might as well be a legacy birthday! The twins are growing up.

Faux is all ready to test the inventing hobby (though I just found out that kids can do it too! Frac!)

Fais grew up too, of course, and got the overly dramatic trait.

I love her hair. It makes her kind of look like a weird, spooky alien. Unique enough for you?

...me either.

Faux got right to inventing in her extension of the pottery room in the basement.

I want Fais to do tattooing, but teens can't, so she'll only do it as a YA if she becomes heiress. For now she's building the artistic skill using the drafting table.

The legacy home is starting to feel real small. It's got enough space for nine adults (if there are two sims per double bed) and four toddlers/infants, but the child area is really crowded and there aren't many places to put Frac's statues or Faux's inventions or Fais' sketches. With the lot really rather small, the only way to build is up (or down into the basement, you may have noticed), so I made a new floor and put all the toddler things up there, along with space for toddler birthdays and makeovers (so they don't have to be carried upstairs) and lots of toys and games. There's also room for a TSAL when one is needed.

You're all probably laughing right now. Why? Because I didn't realize that ice sculptures would melt.
I realized this when I couldn't find our ice-octopus (I LOVE the octopus statue!) I checked the ice-sculpture basement and yep, Dårlig had melted. Frac! Still no idea what I'll do with that extra space. For now I'm leaving it, it might be useful later.

I could put inventions down there, but it's fun to have them around the house. There's a new collection of them in the study, and a few scattered around as decoration.

The floating ducky is my favorite! So cute.

Frac's hobby is also taking over the house. He's making me a ton of lovely statues that really mean I should take more pictures of the family at home! So lovely.

Fais' hobby is rather boring, and I haven't been paying much attention to her (sorry love!) so she's devised her own way of getting my attention.

Overly dramatic sims can pretend to pass out!

Sorry Fais, I'm not fooled.

Unlucky sims (family trait!) can get electrocuted while inventing! It shocked the clothes right off of her.
And check out that cool picture of an inverter Fais made! That's one way to get my attention!

...but it's no floating ducky.

In other news, look who rolled a want for a tattoo! Wolfe is 94, and somehow I doubt he's going to last long enough for Fais to tattoo him herself.

He got a knife and a skull on his left arm...

...flowers and a woman (Dårlig?) on his right arm...

...a skull on his chest...

...and a plumbob on his ankle.

Good thing you can't see any of them on him while Mr. Leader-of-the-free-world (did I mention that part) is dressed.

By the way, Lavender had another son, Torey Golden. He's Edel's 21st child. Maybe this is finally changing Edel's mind about his hate for children, because he recently spun up a want to teach his son Joshua Numeral (son of One) to talk.
The kids are (in order of birth) Burton Sophie, Frac Dove, Shanta Woody, Alysia Woody, Eunice Friday, Alyssa Friday, Rudolph Monday, Abby Murphy, Leticia Murphy (dead), Vito Murphy, Dana Wednesday, Faux Alphabetacy, Fais Alphabetacy, Ross Oliver, Jeannine Muench, Yvonne Muench, Barrett Twig, Claudio Colbert, Exekiel Hart-Costello, Joshua Numeral, Dedrick Golden (dead), and Torey Golden.
He's had five sets of twins, all girls, and all the single births have been boys. Wow!

Generation French, Chapter Seven

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in French, Partout Dans Le Monde.
In this legacy, each generation will be named a word starting with their letter from a language starting with that letter; so a sim from generation F could be named Former, the French word for Train.

Last time on the Around the World Legacy, I got Ambitions and Edel spread his genes to 19 children.

The new tattoos are really cool, so I decided to let Mel get one too. She has some Simlish along one arm.

She then went outside and played her guitar by the ocean while the sun set. Gorgeous!

Wolfe was the only one home the next morning to spin the twins.

Fais is really quite pretty, but I couldn't resist using the new hair. She got the new eco-friendly trait. I'm not sure which hobby she'll be trying out yet.

Faux, meanwhile, has a sort of wide-eyed innocence to her. I gave her the eccentric trait, trying to aim her at the inventing hobby once she's older.
Then the game crashed to the desktop while saving.

This time, I had their party early so everyone could go watch.

The girls got the same traits, I just styled them a little differently. They went outside to bounce on their new trampoline once the party was over.

Frac is helping my by experimenting with sculptures. He's making some out of clay in the nectar cellar for now. I'll make him a better studio (like Edel's new fashion garage) soon.

Later, while everyone else was at work, Edel grew up into a full fledged adult. I don't know if it was his birthday or not - the game had a pop-up that said so, but his life bar was pretty low - but he has a teenage son, he can grow up into a full adult!

He looks so much older! Oh dear, that face really didn't age gracefully.

Now, this wouldn't be an Ambitions update without laundry!

First Mel collects all the laundry from the hampers...

...then she puts it in the washing machine...

...then she hangs the clothes on the clothesline. Laundry has never been so exciting!

Meanwhile, Frac is sculpting everything, so I made him a special sculpting room in the basement.

And then I discovered this. Frac can make ice sculptures of other sims. FRAC-ING ICE SCULPTURES!

So I decided to let him make ones of the heirs. I made a basement level bellow the pools and the nectar cellar, a long hall of ice-sculpture places.

He sculpted his father, too, and will stick around until I decide who's heir next and let him sculpt them too.

Baby update! One had a son named Joshua Numeral, and Lavender had a son named Dedrick Golden who later drowned.
