Generation Korean, Chapter One

Hello, and welcome back to the Around the World legacy. It's been a long time since we saw each other. The first ten generations of the legacy are also on this blog, but it is my hope to introduce you to everyone from right here. With the chaos that is Generation Korean.
Jini Alphabetacy Chimeree-Ellis was born to Iella and Vivian as the youngest daughter of the last generation. She always had a great friend, named Kostya. Some people said he was imaginary, but Jini knew better. When she got older, she gave him a potion to make it so everyone else could see him too.
Kostya was Jini's only boyfriend, and they were very close, despite the fact that Kostya dreamed of having a huge family, and Jini's dreams were more career focused. She was going to be the next big rock star, and nothing - not even Kostya - was going to stand in her way.
When they were old enough, Jini and Kostya got married and... where did all these babies come from? Are we getting ahead of ourselves?
Long story short, our young heiress gave birth to the next generation, and the next generation was sextuplets. Even though all six babies were girls, they were as different as any other group of siblings. They were only assigned the colors of the rainbow because otherwise their harried parents would never remember which one was which.
Kal Nal was the oldest. Her name means "blade" in Korean, and she is the athlete of the babies. Don't ask how a toddler can be athletic. Some things are better left unknown.
Kae Dee's name means "candy" and she is about as sweet as - and completely spoiled. She learned to walk, talk, and use the potty early on, so she is completely self-reliant (or as self-reliant as a toddler can be) and that earns her some pretty big brownie points with her folks.
Ka Na Li Ah's name means "canary" and she has a matching fondness for the color yellow. Ka Na Li Ah could possibly be the nicest of all six girls, and the easiest to please.
Ko is the one labeled "zombie snack" up there. Her name means "nose" but the remarkable (and tragic) thing about Ko is her eyes. She was born completely blind, which means she requires twice as much attention from her parents as her sisters do, and her parents are already stretched thin taking care of the other five babies.
Keu Gi's name means "size" and she seems to be mostly interested in getting to know her sisters and playing with them, even if they don't always feel the same way about her.
Ki Keun is the youngest, but don't let that fool you. She's shown here playing with a doll house, but most of the time she is fussing with a logic puzzle, putting round pegs into round holes. Her name means "tall".
Of course, however smart Ki Keun may be, she is still a toddler, with all of the intellectual flaws of one. Just saying.
Raising six little girls takes almost all of their time outside of work, and Jini and Kostya hardly speak to each other except to pass babies back and forth. The sextuplets were not part of Jini's plan for her future.
Jini: "Kostya, where are you? You better be watching the little monsters, I have work in an hour!" Kostya: "Yes dear!" Little did she know, he had also done something she would not normally have approved of.
Jini: "What do you mean you're running a daycare out of here?! Isn't enough taking care of our own six kids?!" Kostya: "Don't worry honey, I can handle it. Besides, we need the extra money, and I'm good with kids." Jini: "Just know, if this takes away from our own children's childhood... I will slaughter you in a tabloid worthy fashion." Kostya: "Yes dear!"
And what's this? The first child of many is arriving for a day in daycare. Jini: "More like crawling-child hell. You can't move for the number of babies in this place."
And here come more! This is Miranda Drow-Raspberry who is, believe it or not, the twin sister of the child pictured above. Her father, like Ko, is blind, but she seems to have avoided those genes - or it's too early to tell, at the very least.
Ko, by the way, despite significant set-backs, is growing up just fine, and her skills at actually hitting the things she swings the mallet at are increasing greatly.
Her sisters, meanwhile... not so much. Kae Dee: *noms plastic mallet*
Jini: "If your father doesn't help me raise you, he's going to be a ghost. I wish e'd pay attention to our own babies instead of other people's. Isn't six enough?" Kae Dee: "Bah?" Jini: "Is that the sound of our child laughing in the next room, Kostya?"
Kostya: "Uh... yes dear."
Kal Nal: "I have been put in the wrong crib! HELP!"
Meanwhile, Ka Na Li Ah is busy being adorable.
Some people in the neighborhood have been whispering that Jini doesn't really care about her children, all she cares about is her career. She's often been seen outside practicing her guitar while her husband takes care of the sextuplets and whoever he is babysitting as well.
Jini: "This wasn't part of the plan. I still want to follow my dreams. So sue me."
Kostya: "I'm sorry that following your dreams has led to some not-so-nice rumors in the neighborhood." Jini: "And I'm sorry that my career takes me away from you and the girls so often, it's not really fair for you to raise them alone." Kostya: "But I love children, and you don't. You're going to be a rock star. Go get 'em!"
Jini: "Here, for being the best, most supportive husband I've ever had." Kostya: "Thanks! Wait... I'm the only husband you've ever had." Jini: "..."
Ka Na Li Ah: "Aww, Mommy and Daddy don't hate each other! Yay!"
But... wait? What are all these strange people doing in the legacy household in fancy clothes? Bella: "This house is lousy with babies. I'm not sure how I feel about this development."
Jini: "I'm throwing a party to meet and impress celebrities. Is it working? Are you impressed?!" Keu Gi: "I'd be more impressed if you managed to put me in the right crib right about now..."
Despite having to leave her guests frequently to take care of one screaming child or another, Jini's party was a huge success, and she became a one star celebrity by the end of the night.
And, the next day there's a new addition to the babysitting flock. Leaving Adult: "We heard that you were the best with kids with unique conditions." Kostya: "Well, uh, I do what I can, but, um- there are already-" Adult: "Fill her bottles with this juice, don't leave her out in the sun for too long, and don't worry if she's a bit nippy, she's teething." Kostya: "..." Belisama: "Bah?"
At first Jini wasn't too excited to see that there would be nine babies crawling around their living room, but then she learned that Belisama's mother - despite having the same strange condition as her daughter - was a celebrity, and she went off to meet her.
Turns out, the two have a bunch in common, and Jini was able to make a good friend and slowly pull herself up the fame ladder.
Kostya: "You ever regret your life choices long after it's too late to do anything about them?" Ki Keun: "Not really, but I'm only two. You should change Ko's diaper before her screams break the sound barrier."
Don't worry, Kostya, things are about to get a lot more chaotic. Kostya: "Oh... good?" Jini's throwing another party!
Keu Gi: "Crawl awaaaaaay from the party! Seek cover!"
Kostya, like Keu Gi, is not too excited about the party. His skill set really applies more to interacting with people who have not yet finished elementary school. He ended up spending a good portion of the party just talking to Ki Keun instead of any of the other adults, which is... Jini: "Weird." No, no, it's fine, if that's what makes him happy.
Jini, on the other hand, spent the party shmoozing her head off. Jini: "So, Dina, I heard your sister is super pregnant with Joshue's baby, and he's off shtupping Bella on the side." Uh... despite Jini's... shmoozing skills being somewhat lacking, the party went pretty well.
There is no purpose to this picture except to show that Kae Dee is pretty. When Jini and Kostya had six kids, I concluded that they needed to share the spotlight, and be played as much as individuals as possible. That's kind of hard with toddlers, but please let me know if I am doing a good job helping you tell these bundles of joy apart. Jini: "Well, they're bundles of something..."
P.S. My lighting mod makes me happy. Next time:
Birthdays!
Science!
And preparation for the Zombie Apocalypse! See you then!
