Generation Basque, Chapter Four

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in Basque, Biraka Eta Mundu.
In this legacy, each generation will be named a word starting with their letter from a language starting with that letter so a sim from generation B could be named Beso, the Basque word for Arm.

Last time on the Around the World Legacy, the herd of boys was becoming a herd of young men.

Leighton, still an old man puttering around the house, practiced his cooking.

Leslie was spending her free time painting, a very lucrative pass time.

Meanwhile Baratxuri, our aesthetically unfortunate potential-heir, was chatting up the maid, hoping to get in good with her so he could maybe marry her if he became heir.

Yes, everything was well in- wait a second, where did their neighbors' houses go?

Yes, everyone, I'm afraid that the blueness attacked this neighborhood as well. Soon every lot was gone, and they had to leave before their home disappeared and the family was lost forever.

The family moved to Riverview and I took the opportunity to update the rainbow house.

As you can see, on the first floor is the grandparent's room, the nursery, the living room, kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms, a space for the crypt, a computer room, and a bedroom, with empty space for more.

On the second floor is the master bedroom and bath, and three more bedrooms, as well as some space for more of the crypt, and lots of empty room.

Finally, the top floor is mostly empty, except for some tables set aside for the rest of the crypt.

Bihotz had the first birthday in the new house, turning into a teenager.

And what a handsome teen he is too. I'm thinking about naming him heir, but I want them all to be teens before I decide.

Bihotz went next door to visit the neighbors, and met this young woman, Lemon. He was very stricken by her, though she was a young adult and he was just a teen.

Back home it was time for the twins to grow up.

I believe this is Bizkar, but I really can't tell them apart.

If that was Bizkar, this is Babarrun, but like I said, I can't tell who's who.

In any case, this one took up the guitar and spent many days distracting his family from what they were supposed to be doing.

With all of the children grown into teens, I have decided to declare Bihotz the heir, and had him invite over Lemmy so they could become best friends in preparation for a wedding as soon as he becomes an adult.

And this is where I have to leave you. Sorry for the short update, I'm working on rebuilding my game after these glitches.

Generation Basque, Chapter Three

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in Basque, Biraka Eta Mundu.
In this legacy, each generation will be named a word starting with their letter from a language starting with that letter so a sim from generation B could be named Beso, the Basque word for Arm.

Last time on the Around the World Legacy, our heiress Asseblief had just given birth to twin boys, Bizcar and Babarron.

And our first order of business is bringing Baratxuri to the cake. The odd looking little bugger is a good, athletic, kleptomaniac.

Baratxuri is really quite the odd child. I see that he got dark purple eyes, probably Leighton's, and his father's pretty white-blond hair. He seems to have gotten Leighton's nose as well.

Asseblief and I both agreed it was time for a new look for her. She cut her hair short and added purple streaks to match her eyes.

And then not much happened until the twins' birthday!

I think this is Bizkar. I don't really know the twins apart.

And this is the other one. Babarron, maybe. Maybe I got them confused. In any case, this one got red eyes, just like his father. Unbelievably creepy.

I didn't mean for this update to turn into an endless string of birthdays, I really didn't, but, um, well... Reddy became a full blown adult and Bihotz became a child. I won't bore you with pictures of Reddy looking exactly the same.

I think he's really lovely. He has that nose again, just like Leighton. Bihotz is also a bit of a geek, like his brother, and I immediately sent him over to the chess table.

Bihotz plays chess with his mother while his father's at work, and with his father on the weekends. When they're both home he goes to the computer and they play together, thus preserving their relationship through brief interaction. In this family, there's very rarely time to actually talk to each other, except maybe at a meal.

Speaking of meals, check out the new fridge. Guess who reached the top of the cooking career and her LTW? That's right, our darling little foundress! How exciting!

And now, three more big birthdays before we go. Baratxuri's ready for teen-hood, and the twins are going to be kids. I can't tell you how excited I am to get these little monsters out of toddler-hood.

Babarrun (or Bizkar) is a little funny looking with that hair, but it was really the only one that didn't make him look too much like his brothers.

Bizkar (or Babarrun) added evil to his traits. Doesn't he look it? He reminds me of Draco Malfoy.

Oh dear, Baratxuri really did not grow into his face well at all! I forget what trait he added, but I think it probably is the family trait, Unlucky.

That's all for now, I promise to try to update more frequently! Thanks for bearing with me, I hope you enjoyed this. Check back for more soon!

Generation Basque, Chapter Two

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in Basque, Biraka Eta Mundu.
In this legacy, each generation will be named a word starting with their letter from a language starting with that letter so a sim from generation B could be named Beso, the Basque word for Arm.

Last time on the Around the World Legacy, our heiress, Asseblief, gave birth to her first child, Baraxturi, and was in labor with the second one. Let's see what happened.

It's a boy! His name is Bihotz, which is the Basque word for Heart. Welcome to the world little one!

Before she even changed out of her maternity wear, Asseblief was right back to work, painting. You'll also notice my little flower boxes have windows and mirrors that give a view of the kitchen. You like?

It's time for Baraxturi's birthday!

He's a little strange looking, I have to admit. I don't think Asseblief's genes mixed well with Reddy's.

Our proud parents were not happy with simply having two kids. After all, there was room in the house for two more!

Soon poor Asseblief found herself pregnant and listening to kids music non-stop. If she could have twins then she wouldn't have to sit through another maternity leave and could go back to work.

And I would like to point out that our elderly couple here are still very much in love.

Leslie takes a break from snogging her husband to take Bihotz to his birthday cake.

It looks like he got Leslie's red hair and Leighton's dark eyes. Look at that, isn't he cute?

Right after Bihotz's birthday, Asseblief goes into labor! Way to steal the spotlight!

It's twins! Twins, twins, twins! Twins, twins, twins!
Meet Bizkar. Bizkar means Back in Basque.
And his twin brother, Babarron, which means Bean.

So there you have it! Tune in next time to see Asseblief and Reddy try to raise four boys, two tots and two infants! (AAAH!)

Generation Basque, Chapter One

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in Basque, Biraka Eta Mundu.
In this legacy, each generation will be named a word starting with their letter from a language starting with that letter so a sim from generation B could be named Beso, the Basque word for Arm.

Last time on the Around the World Legacy, Asseblief was declared the heiress, married Reddy, and got pregnant with the next generation. As you can tell from the new title and banner, they have arrived!

Asseblief opens the new chapter by modeling her new maternity wear, and pregnant belly. She also shows us the constantly being remodeled living room.

Ever forgettable Afdeling shows off the new office. Look, corner desk!

And Asseblief shows us the new flower boxes in the painting corner. I'm not sure whether I'm happy with them or not. I was thinking of taking the mirrors off the side walls and putting in windows, looking into the bedroom and the kitchen. I'll think about it.

Reddy, meanwhile, tries to make like Leighton and skill in his undies. Err, not exactly the same, man.

Leslie invited over her boss, then ran off to skill, leaving Asseblief to meet him and befriend him. Ah, matchmaking. His name's not really important, and I don't remember it anyway. Hell, I don't remember Reddy's real name either.

Finally! Asseblief goes into labor and takes herself to the hospital, just like her mother.

And I just realized I never gave you her full stats. Asseblief is unlucky (family trait), brave, a vegetarian, family oriented, and excitable. She shares two traits with her mother. Her LTW is to reach the top of the science career, and Reddy's LTW is to reach the top of the medical career.

It's a boy! Now, some of you have made comments to this being a matriarchy. It's not. I'm playing two other legacies where the heiresses must be girls (one getting a point for it, one not). I'm playing this one that any gender can inherit, it's just that last generation there were only girls, so it had to be an heiress.

Oh, I bed you want to know what I named him. This little boy's name is Baratxuri, which is the Basque word for garlic.
Basque is the last remaining pre-Indo-European language still spoken in Europe, and is spoken in northern Spain and Southern France, specifically in Basque Country and Navarre.

"You know, it's kind of stupid to name your kid Garlic."
I wasted no time in trying for another kid. I want Asseblief to have all her kids really quickly so she can get off maternity leave and move on to her career.

I love Aap's face in this picture.
"Yay, Afdeling's moving out and Daddy's getting old!"

That's right, my friend, Leighton's old and wrinkly now. And let me tell you, it was hard to find a hair that looked half decent on his saggy face.

It was the same problem with Afdeling. She's a beautiful girl, but her face can look real ugly with some of the hair.
Afdeling added the workaholic trait and decided she wanted to go into business.

After finding a job in the newspaper, Afdeling called over her intended. She asked him if he was single... and he's married!

She settled for being good friends with him, and moved out of the house to make way for Asseblief's next baby.

Good thing, too, because Asseblief just popped!

And Leslie was promoted to executive chef! She's at level eight of her career, thank God, because it's almost her birthday.

Scratch that, it is her birthday, and Aap's too!

Aap added childish as her final trait. She joined the journalism career and promptly moved out.

So promptly that I almost didn't get a picture of her for her portrait! Oops!

But don't worry, all four girls got their portraits painted. And nicely, too.

And don't think I've forgotten Leslie. Her blue eyes stand out even more with that white hair.

That night, Asseblief went into labor!

Find out next time whether it's a boy or girl, one baby or multiples, and what strange thing will I name this one after? Find out next time, on the Around The World Alphabet Legacy!
