Generation German, Chapter Eight

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in German, Rund Um Die Welt.

Last time, not a whole lot happened.

Now it's time for Gefahr to grow up!

I actually think he's kind of cute. I mean... No! Bad baby! Shoo!
His favorite color is hot pink, by the way. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I even threw him a birthday party (Fais had a wish for it, shutup) but Minor Problem didn't get the chance to participate. First, because he had a whole TSAL to complete, and Second, because he was a toddler and couldn't participate anyway. But it was mostly the TSAL thing.

The next day, Mel's time was up. She lived a long (much longer than she was supposed to, since her elder stage apparently got reset when she got her plumbob tattoo) life, and she will be missed.

The grim reaper stuck around for a little bit, and, never one to waste an opportunity, I had Fais introduce herself to him.
FAIS BRANDT, YOU ARE LIKE A BIG GLOWING FACE WITH TWO SPOONS ON THE EYES.
"Uh... thanks?"

"You know, big mysterious cloaks are a turn-on for me, Grimmie."

Inside, an oblivious Marc maxed his painting skill and achieved his LTW.

Life continued on like normal, since no one had seen what Fais did with Grim the night before. Gummi made friends with Fritz's sister, Fate Sparrow.
"Wouldn't it be weird if someone dated Death?"
"Don't be ridiculous, Fate."

"Why'd it get dark all of a sudden?"
"You know, I don't know what you look like under all that hair, but I bet you'd be really cute with a make-over."

"Hey, bug, I was right, now give me my first kiss."

Suddenly, I was zoomed across to the hospital where Fais came out of work and...
Okay. So I really didn't want to have Gefahr, but having the grim reaper's child has always been a goal of mine. Any time someone dies, if there's a woman who can have a kid (is a YA or Adult, isn't pregnant, preferably is the heiress or a part of the legacy line) she goes and talks to him. It's never gotten this far before. Fais got, erm, all the way. (Actually, he vanished right before she asked him to try for baby, and I used cheats to get her pregnant because I was frustrated) And it seems to have taken. Err. The older kids are about to have their birthdays. I'm concerned I may have made a mistake.
But come on, who doesn't want the grim reaper's offspring in their legacy?

But back at home...
"Hey, why do I feel all tingly?"
One day after Mel's death, it's time for Edel to join her.

Hey Grim, did you know your one night stand over there is knocked up?
THIS DISPLEASES ME.

Me too, Grim. Me too.
Fais seems pretty peaceful, though.

Generation German, Chapter Seven

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in German, Rund Um Die Welt.

Last time, Marc grew old and Fais had a son named Gefahr.

Then everything kind of went back to normal. Ish.

Here's a pretty shot of Edel meditating in the garden. He has kind of a habit of just plopping down wherever he is and starting to meditate. It's not like he's useful, anyway.

Now that she's not pregnant any more, it's time for Fais to become a full grown adult. She's got three teenage daughters, she should be at least an adult, right?!

I had to send her to the mirror to put her in the right hair again, so now you get to see up close how she looks all grown up.

During the excitement of the birthday, the rest of the household got away from me a bit. I found Gabe hanging out in the garden, doing her homework, even though there are two tables with empty spaces, just for this sort of thing!

While I was dealing with everyone else, Fais went and did the laundry. I like her.

I don't get people who don't like neurotic sims. Mine hardly ever spin up wants to do neurotic things. Give them a freak out in the morning before school/work, and they'll get a happy moodlet and leave you alone. Indulge a few wishes to brush their teeth, more happy for you!
Gabe is hardly ever neurotic, so here she is checking the stove. Just in case.

Since I like Fais (she does laundry!) I decided she didn't have to paint more pictures for more money we don't need, and she could become... Ninja Mom!

After a few belts, she wants to spar with her father. Obviously she lost. Badly.

Marc is so close to his LTW we both can taste it, but unfortunately he has to take care of baby Minor Problem. Edel had been doing it, but he hates children, and I'm sick of him being all "grr, bad moodlet, bad moodlet" all the time. Sorry Marc.

At least he has three questionably capable teenagers to help out.

And a wife who eats alone facing the corner.

Generation German, Chapter Six

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in German, Rund Um Die Welt.

Last time, Fais got pregnant accidentally.

Here's another "pregnant woman gardening" shot. I'm sure you all needed to see it. Fais has topped the gardening skill and maxed logic, so she's mostly taking care of the garden and then painting, because that's what I do with my sims when I don't know what to do with them.

Gummi continues to cook, which is really making the family happy. Finally, meals that aren't leftover cake!

A family that eats together, chokes together. It was perfectly synchronized! A perfect 10!

"If I were old enough to vote, or Twinbrook even had elections, I would vote for you, grandma."
How cool would that be? Your sims could go out to vote, and if a sim got enough votes, they would get a promotion. Of course, it would probably make it a really hard career to top...

Our wannabe Renaissance Sim (a LTW all three daughters have rolled, by the way) maxed athletic, and this is him maxing handiness (ooh, ah) so now all he has left is two points in artistic (I know, I know, but he came with some skill points, I swear!)

More gardening, ooh, ah. This is the most annoying pregnancy ever.

"Hey sis... Laundry!"
"Let's wash our hands three times."
"Awesome."

Edel keeps (annoyingly) maxing skills. So here he is trying his hand at martial arts.

Oh hey, working out together. Marc and Mel have claimed the athletic equipment for quite some time now.

It's Marc's birthday! Fais is supposed to grow up too, but she's pregnant so it will have to wait. The difference is, of course, that she will be an adult and he's getting old.

There is no hair that could have redeemed that face. Sorry wrinkly, balding man.

While these the triplets watch TV together (they've been on the same schedule for a while now)...

Their mother goes into labor and rushes to the hospital. This time, Marc even comes!

She emerged with a baby boy! His name is Gefahr, which means Danger. I prefer to think of him as baby Major Problem.

Okay, so he's not so much of a Major Problem as a sort of Minor Problem. I like babies, I like herds of sim kids. I'm kind of disappointed she didn't have twins or triplets, actually (but the house had 7 sims in it already, so, you know).
The family even seems to like him. A little.

Generation German, Chapter Five

Hello, and welcome to the new Around the World Legacy. Or, in German, Rund Um Die Welt.

Last time, I installed some mods, and the girls grew up.

After freaking out and checking the sinks in the morning, the girls headed off to school, and everyone else went to work (except for Edel, who is almost entirely useless).

Gummi brought home this young man (I believe his name is Fritz Sparrow) but it was Galle that got to socialize with him. We found out he's neurotic too! Oh, now we definitely need him!

She got her first kiss, and then they went steady! Good going, Galle!

She followed it up by brushing her teeth three times, of course.

Upstairs, both of her parents had rolled the want to woohoo. You know what that means, right? I had them risky woohoo, since I can do that now (yay!) and it was only a 10% chance anyway.

Then life went back to normal. I promised myself I'd take more pictures and not just rush through, since I feel bad missing the girls' entire childhoods. So here's what the family does day-to-day. Edel plays chess with himself.

And Edel runs on the tredmill. Everyone else goes to school or work, then comes home and sleeps. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I realized on Wednesday that they probably had a lot of money to collect from their businesses. The trick with the new system is, I think, to get one sim to cue up a bunch of "check real estate" actions. Then make another sim the active sim, and have them actually do the collecting.

It works best with multiple sims, so I sent out anyone who was in a good mood. That turned out to be Mel, Marc, Fais, and Gummi.

They all took different methods of transportation after work/school, and ran around to different businesses, making the family another $100,000 richer. As if they need it.

It did take up a nice chunk of their evening, though.

Meanwhile, Galle typed up more of her stories.

At least until the computer broke. Her father, with all the handiness skill points, was out getting money around town, so she had to fix it herself.

Gabe continued to invent until she got lonely and went to play chess with her grandfather.

Suddenly I was sproinged across the neighborhood to discover...
FRAC!
Okay, how many of you saw that coming?
At least Faux is pregnant now too, with some guy named Andy. You can have your babies at the same time.

Fais: STFU.

Yeah. And Faux broke up with Andy that night, too. Ugh.
